Maria has undertaken an number of projects for me over the last 12 months from supporting with the implementation from an operational perspective of Access Care and Compliance, supporting the development of outcome measures for the charity with our operational teams and now leading a transformational project on co-production and working with the people we support and families to ensure their voice is central to decision making.

The role of a nominated individual is to oversee all regulated activities and service management, to ensure the safety of the service and that is well led and compliant with regulations and standards and that the correct governance and correct reporting authorities are kept. This is jus§t part. From my personal experience of Maria someone who is not only dedicated but has strong work ethic, integrity and not only a great manager but also a great leader. I have no doubt in her ability to not only acquire the role of a nominated individual but will serve this to the highest standard and expect the same from her peers.

Maria is the perfect leader of an organisation, she is passionate, she is focussed and she drives forward day to day business, many changes, never settling for it can’t be done, always insisting that it must.

The service user is always central to Maria’s ethos and she has driven to re-settle many 100s of vulnerable individuals from hospital into the community. Maria maintains a friendly personable demeanour with an ultra-professional standing which colours her day to day relationships with anyone she has contact with, whether in or external to the organisation.

I’d like to leave a metaphor for how I see Maria from my time working with her- Maria is a top end 4wd of Directors, she can navigate the roughest of terrains and with a ‘go anywhere’ attitude, she can swiftly go through the gears and will steer any organisation towards its objectives. It rather feels like your on a motorway rather than rough ground and with this in mind, In actual fact it would be more accurate to describe her as a Rolls Royce in the healthcare field!
